Impact on parent-teacher communication during remote learning.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about challenges for the education sector, altering the dynamics of teacher-parent communication and collaboration. While remote learning becoming new, traditional modes of interaction have transformed necessitating innovative approaches to maintain and strengthen the essential partnership between teacher and parent.

Prior to the pandemic, face-to-face meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events formed the meeting of parent-teacher communication. However, with the shift to remote learning, these avenues underwent a substantial transformation. The absence of immediate feedback from teachers hindered parent's ability to actively participate in their child's education.

Schools and educators swiftly adopted digital platforms as a means to bridge the communication gap. Virtual parent-teacher meetings, and messaging apps became vital tools for sharing updates on student's progress, assignments and everyday class remarks. These platforms facilitated real-time interaction enabling parents to stay informed about their child's academics.

Enabling a routine for regular communication with individual students is crucial. Teachers can provide specific and suggestion to parents. Outlining areas of improvement and offering guidance on how to support their child's learning journey effectively.

Engaging parents in collaborative projects can create a sense of involvement in their child's education. Encouraging joint ventures that require both student and parent participation creates a bond between school and home.

Empowering the student by sharing their achievements in school with the parents will motivate the child to develop further and be a successful person in society.
