INTRODUCTION
The important thing to keep in mind that the role of leader is to influence , engage and encourage the people to action around a common goal. School leaders had to take up a lot of responsibilities during and after the pandemic. Their part was crucial on smooth functioning of the institution. In this blog we will focus on the responsibilities of school leaders.
STRATEGIES OF SCHOOL LEADERS
During the pandemic period the closed schools made screening and delivery for child protection services which was difficult. Effective school leaders is increasingly viewed as the key to far-reaching education transformation. By the strategies formed by the school leaders they suggest that effective school management generally comes from the engagement in instructional leadership. Instructional leadership involves practice of planning , evaluation and coordination , improvement in teaching and learning. Due to the impact of covid-19 the decision-making by the leadership was completely changed.
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
Leaders were responsible for all the activities during the pandemic. They have to support the teachers with resources , pay salary for all the staffs even there was a cost cutting , make changes to infrastructure and maintain school. They also should create some strategies to make online classes interesting.
WORKING WITH TEACHERS
The leaders started to work directly with teachers , instructional leadership , evaluate teacher's performance and help in advance they skills through mentoring and coaching. Like this we can convey a lot of decision making in response to challenges and leader strategies during covid-19.
CONCLUSION
As it is conclusion it is important that leaders were engaged continuously in maintaining schools during the pandemic. They indeed had a very difficult time.
